What do you do when your little one is playing your sharp key and you are afraid that he will hurt himself by doing just that?
Throw the key away? Probably he will get another one which might be better, one has a round edge and no sharp point (is it still a key?) or worse a knife shaped one.
Really? The reality and bottom line is you do not throw away your yet useful key which has various flaws but still protecting you somehow.
So, why ditch PGP? Most likely it is the only tool many can use to secure and sign their daily communication, be it email or IM.
Will you ditch IMAPs/SSL and go back to clear text email just because SSL is not properly configured, programmed on your computer? Simply not. It's like you are afraid chocking by water and stop drinking. Is water bad? No! Is drinking water bad? No. Now I might sound like a villain. But think of it for yourself and rethink before you say something like this to public as a “security expert”.
