The program is offered by UvA, under natural science (FNWI). Its name is System and Network Engineering (SNE). There are two tracks in it: networking and forensics. One focuses on large scale networking, and the other focuses on, as the name suggests, forensics and security.
The program is promoting the idea of being open and free concerning the IT environment: Open Standards, Open Software and Open Security, hence the name OS3.
